Overview
Gen Con Indy is the original, longest-running, best-attended, gaming convention in the world.
One of the highlights is the Block Party on South Street, and you don't even need a ticket to attend.
If your side quest is to find tasty food and drinks, head just south of the convention center. Look for annual favorites like Island Noodles, Wild Bill's, and Critical Hit Soda (official mocktail sponsor), Helm Coffee, Subway, HotBox Pizza, The Flying Cupcake, Prime 47, and Jug's, as well as other local vendors and a large variety of food trucks. Let your culinary adventures begin here! You can even beat the heat with misters and shaded tables and enjoy onsite restrooms.
Sun King Beer Garden Tap Party
Rage Quit, the Official Beer of Gen Con 2026, will be released Wednesday, July 29, at Sun King's tent along South Street.
Special Foods and Drinks
Sun King brings the Official Beer of Gen Con, Rage Quit. This ale with cherry and lemon-lime flavor will be a refreshing break from the games.
Hotbox Pizza serves the Official Pizza of Gen Con. This year's special pie is Dragon's Luau, a spicy pepperoni pizza with bacon, pineapple, and Mike's Hot Honey on spicy red sauce.
Daniel's Vineyard will be bringing wines and wine cocktails, including this year's special wine, Dragon's Dew. It's sweet, refreshing, and captures the essence of Mountain Dew in every drop.
Prime 47 will have Short Rib Street Tacos (red onion and chimichurri in a flour tortilla), corn tortilla chips and salsa, soft drinks, energy drinks, and water.
Need a caffeine boost to carry on gaming? Visit Helm Coffee for a variety of drinks to keep your battery charged: Hastemaker (espresso-infused cold brew), Victorious Brew (iced latte with oat milk), Expeditious Elixir (sweet honey and cinnamon iced oat milk latte), and Rejuvenation Potion (hibiscus tea and lemonade).
On Georgia Street just a couple of blocks east of the convention center, Georgia Street Grind will have specialty drinks

Also a few blocks away on Illinois Street, Harry & Izzy's will have this year's Official Burger. It will be stacked with root beer-glazed bacon, crispy fried onions, American cheese, and lettuce on a sesame seed bun.
